My 33 year career in payroll has never been dull! I love its variety. I have worked in different business sectors, implemented new payroll software, introduced Flexible benefits and I am currently in the process of changing all our pensions’ schemes to salary sacrifice. It is all about deadlines, time management and accuracy.
Julie has almost 40 years’ experience in the Payroll profession. She runs her own Payroll Bureau and is a freelance Trainer, Lecturer and Consultant. She is passionate about her profession, has a great sense of humour and describes herself as a “payroll anorak” She prefers to be called a payroll enthusiast rather than an expert.

Ricardo Rehkopf is a global payroll expert and currently works as Director of Global Payroll and Shared Services at Groupon an eCommerce company, out of their London and Chicago offices. He has worked in payroll for over 20 years for a variety of companies in North-America and European countries. In his work, Ricardo focuses on strategic payroll issues, efficiency gains in global payroll and payroll/HR software systems. Prior to Groupon Ricardo has worked for Thomson Reuters, Avid Technology, Celergo UK and CPEhr.
Elizabeth Robins is the managing partner of AS Robins.
Having successfully built her business from a spare room in her house in 1999, Elizabeth and Adler Shine combined forces in 2009 to create AS Robins. The business now services over 500 accounts in a seamless and trouble free manner.
Elizabeth successfully manages the evolving payroll needs of the client base, while offering bespoke human resource consultations.
As Benefits Contracts & Payroll Manager at NWG, I am responsible for managing relationships with benefit providers and their delivery of agreed services. I also have responsibility for payroll and the administration of our benefits for our diverse workforce of over 3000 employees in the North East, Essex and Suffolk.
Brian has 20 years experience in Payroll, working with employers such as Bosch, National Galleries of Scotland, BSkyB and is at TSB Bank, looking after Payroll and HR Systems. Brian has worked with HMRC for a number of years as part of TDSF and a previous committee member of IReeN.
